At the time of its introduction, the 365 GT 2+2 represented significant advances for Ferrari, particularly their 2+2 models. The combination of independent suspension all around for the first time on a 2+2 model and the new torque tube arrangement made the cars quieter, more comfortable, and more capable than ever before. The inclusion of additional convenience and luxury features further enhanced the car's comfort, with standardized power steering and air conditioning. The familiar front-mounted 4.4 liter V12 and attractive Pininfarina styling ensured that the car retained all of the traditional positive Ferrari traits, and authentic Ferrari experience. In all, just 809 Queen Mothers were built, making these cars quite rare as well.

11951 hails from over 20 years of previous marque enthusiast ownership and presents as an ideal driver in distinctive livery. Upkept and documented for many years, the Queen Mother comes from static storage of its longtime caretaker. The exterior displays older paint in correct Argento, complemented by preferrable 15x7.5” Borrani wire wheels (x5). The interior cabin is preserved with older freshened leather seating. Air conditioning and power windows are among the cabin features most revered with the Queen Mother. Other interior equipment includes 4-place seat belts and 1975 Audiovox radio.

Engine number 11951 GT starts right up, runs and drives, however, please note the car's exhaust smokes, which is a indicative of worn valve guide seals. A “top-end” inspection and service is recommended prior to road use.

A refined grand tourer for any occasion, 11951 offers an abundance of classic Ferrari V12 rewards of similar Colombo-engined counterparts, along with an arguably more comfortable setting.
