Exceptional Sounding Engine & Driving Feel!

The 365 GTC/4 was developed to meet the ever-growing demand among Ferrari's
clientele for a luxurious, high performance automobile with accommodations for up to four passengers. The new model represented a very logical progression for Ferrari, and while its chassis was essentially derived from the contemporary 365 GTB/4 "Daytona". Long appreciated for its driving ease and Colombo-derived V-12 engine, the 365 GTC/4 capably upheld Ferrari's performance image with its superb high-speed touring capabilities.

Chassis number 15655 was completed in February of 1972 as a U.S. version, LHD with heated windscreen, standard equipment and air conditioning. The C/4 came finished in Grigio Argento paint over Beige Conolly leather upholstery and was delivered through Luigi Chinetti Motors of New York and sold new to Bart Chamberlain of Mobile, Alabama - as recorded through Marcel Massini's history report. By October 1978 the 365 was at FAF Motorcars in Tucker, GA - still on Mobile, AL license plates. It exchanged hands in 1985 through Joe Marchetti's International Autos in Chicago, IL, while later appearing in the Chicago area, now red with the same interior. From there the car remained in long term care during its time in Chicago, the C/4 subsequently transferred ownership to noted collector Mel Weiss of NJ in 2013.

Today, the Coupe reads displays just over 26,700 miles whish are believed to be original. The cabin's leather upholstery remains largely original (seats redyed in correct color), as are the trim and fittings. All etched glass remains original, including the optioned heated windshield. It's believed the current paintwork was applied during the 1980's and shows well benefitting from a 2020 paint correction detailing. Both the engine bay and luggage compartment appear largely original and correct. The rear contains a matching spare assembly. Lights, cold air conditioning and safety equipment are in proper working order.

A recent 2020 inspection and major service included an R&R of the entire suspension system. $15,000+ invested. This included front and rear Koni shocks, all rubber components and bushings, upper and lower ball joints, upper and lower outer wishbones, ANSA rear mufflers/tips, as well as a rebuild and tuning of the carburetors, ignition components, valve adjustment and cam cover gaskets - water pump rebuild with associated gaskets and hoses, air conditioning recharge, new Michelin 215/70VR15 XWX tires and Michelin tubes and finally a 20 hour detailing from top to bottom. The newly freshened C/4 is simply amazing to drive! The Ferrari pulls through every gear effortlessly with exceptional pep and practical, modern usability.
