After the brilliant first-series Jaguar E-Type debuted at Geneva in 1961 with inline six-cylinder power, the car's basic design progressively matured through 1971 with a switch to the smoother, turbine-like V-12. Known as Series III cars and offered through 1974, they also featured brawnier cosmetics, a slightly wider track and longer wheelbase. With a more accommodating cockpit, the interior was also entirely new. Power brakes and steering, a 272 horsepower V-12, and a fully synchronized four-speed manual gearbox, the final-series cars are very capable and refined Grand Touring machines, while also retaining the sensuous lines of their predecessors. Today they rightly continue to captivate legions of collectors and marque enthusiasts and are ever growing in popularity.

According to Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, UE1S25594 was built on April 8, 1974 and Distributed on the 20th of May 1974 through British Leyland Motors in White over Dark Blue upholstery as displayed today. By the mid-2000s, the Roadster was residing in Phoenix, Arizona where it was acquired by a gentleman in Ohio, who commissioned the selling dealer and Jaguar specialist to complete a cosmetic and mechanical freshening. Work included an entirely new leather cabin and matching canvas top, along with associated foam, padding and rubbers throughout the body, new trunk appointments, chrome wire wheels and period correct “white line” tires, R&R cooling + heater systems, brakes, suspension and wheel components, as well as addressing the electrical and engine intake systems. A year prior to the sale in 2004, the engine, power steering and air conditioning were rebuilt by Sports Car Service Center of Tempe, Arizona. All servicing, parts and maintenance records from that time and thereafter are filed in the vehicles accompanying dossier.

In a proper nautical livery, this V12 Series III Roadster is among the late examples of this famous British marquee produced. The overall appearance of the car presents as a nicely mellowed maintained driver, showing 80,600 recorded miles and excellent road manners. The cabin is conveniently equipped with COLD factory air conditioning, period Becker Europa MU radio and 4-speed manual transmission. Chrome wire wheels complete the overall appearance, with matching spare, Thor hammer and brass spanner residing in the trunk. Additionally, the Roadster is complete with all of its original owner's manuals, books and pamphlets in vinyl pouch – these include USA Spec Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook, Wiring Diagram, Lubrication and Routine Maintenance charts, Chrome Plate Maintenance, Starting Procedure, Safety Belt and Steering Column cards, Quaker State Oil brochure, as well as all of the Becker Europa's Operating Instructions, Wiring diagram, Warrant Ticket and Service Center booklets.

This fantastic, last-model-year production XKE roadster is now available for immediate inspection, purchase and world-wide delivery from our Houston, Texas showroom. Be sure to ask about preferred shipping agents and collector car financing options.
